This website is designed to be part of a contest at The Bishen Realm. It has a theme of ... graffiti. Yeah. Lots and lots of it. On subway walls. But I digress. I forget what inspired me; I think I was doodling in PSP7 and I remembered a weird little thing I used to do that made a texture that looked like pavement. I figured out how to do it again, and graffitied all over it just for fun.... Yeah. Good stuff.

A big tannku to Lilu for giving me some godlike S&G lyrics.

poetry
A Dark Place
I wrote this in 6th grade, when I was, like, eleven. It still amazes me how beautiful and simple it is, and I adore it. It was a wrench to put it on the internet, where it could easily be stolen, but I'd really like to share it with the world. It may not be my favorite poem ever, but it's up there. Whee.

Shadow Poet
Inspired off a poem we read in, again, sixth grade. I used the basic format, but I changed the words and what not. I wish I could remember the original poem, as I recall it being quite good.

Spiders
This is actually my favorite song of all time ever, done by System of a Down. Such a beautiful ballad; I love it, and it's so inspirational, to me. Serj Tankian's vocals don't hurt it, either.

Metamorphosis
I wrote this poem because I couldn't find a proper fourth one for the layout that I'd already finished. It wasn't looking too good when I first started it, but, by the time it was done, I was quite impressed with myself. The last stanza is by far my favorite of the two; I considered it very clever to rhyme 'chrysalis' and 'metamorphosis.' Go me. {Weirdly enough, this song was inspired by 'Tourniquet' by Marilyn Manson, a band I am very reluctant to admit to listening to. But that's actually a rather good song, and it talks about bugs and butterflies a lot. For some reason. I came up with the first line whilst trying to figure out what he was saying when he was was saying something about spiders.}

A Poem on the Underground Wall
Some lyrics Lilu threw at me that made me giggle. They were particularly fun since I'm so used to Simon and Garfunkel doing deep, serious things, and then this was all like ... about a man graffiting swear words on the wall. And yet, S&G are so lyrically talented, that they manage to make it seem very ... meaningful, or something. That takes skill. Lots of skill.

Prelude
This is one of those songs where you just kind of have to look at it and go '...what?' I was browsing Marilyn Manson lyrics because sometimes they're actually quite good, and I came upon this really random little poem that was at the beginning of one of his CDs. It's so completely out of character, in that it doesn't once outright mention fists, God, government, suicide, drugs, or sex. I was pretty amazed. I read somewhere that it's a quote from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which Marilyn is pretty much obssessed with, but I don't know. I like it. The rhyming makes me feel happiness.

The Sun is Burning
Another amazing lyrical bit from L. Pretty much the anthem of apocolyptic fiction writers. This one almost amuses me more than Poem on the Underground Wall, simply because it goes from being so wholesome and happy and fluffy in the first three verses to ... really, really morbid in the last two. Gotta love S&G.

graffiti
Main Page
Random scribbles. The sign, could you see it in its entirety, would say 'Airport' with an arrow. Yes, I made that sign from scratch. I made everything from scratch. Foo. The lower right hand corner has a pink heart with an X over it. The 'no' is the beginning of 'no more pink hearts need be brought into the world.' I've said that on more than one occasion.

A Dark Place
More random scribbles, all swirled up and stuff. That was done with a smudge brush. There's no particular reason for it; I just wanted to try something different and cool. Looks like a portal or something. I like it.

Shadow Poet
Lots going on, here. A superman 'S' is in the upper-right corner. Beside that, the red and blue writing says 'Chaz 91.' The pink and red just above that says 'I ♥ CT JO.' I'm silly. The red writing on the bottom says 'gang.' There are three orange suns in a triangle for no reason whatsoever.

Spiders
The yellow tape says 'Crime Scene Do Not Enter' because I'm stupid. The sign says 'Personel Only Restricted Zone' because I forgot the word 'area' and I can't spell. The graffiti says 'I killed him dead.'

Metamorphosis
The superman 'S' and one orange sun from the Shadow Poet page are also here, and that made me feel cool. The red and blue writing surrounded by green says 'There Is No Spoon' from the Matrix. Hardcore. The rest of it is completely random scribbles that look like they say 'it;' I didn't do that on purpose, however.

A Poem on the Underground Wall
Uh. If you read the poem, it's pretty obvious. At first it was just the 'F U half-a-C' in the background, but that was kind of bland, in my opinion. So I decided to make it exciting, and block out the letters with my infamous, notorious Crime Scene tape. Totally something I can see happening - while they were taping off the site of the murder, they paused to cross out some random graffiti. Not worth painting over, though, apparently. Hehe.

Prelude
The really morbid one. Heh. That's a chalk outline of a body; obviously, it's a bit faded, thanks to the passage of time. The splatters are, according to my brain, from where toxic post-bomb rain dripped on the outline, causing it to smear. The blood here looks better than the other blood I've tried, which is good. And ... yeah, I don't really know what the rope's use was. You figure it out. Mua ha ha ha.

The Sun is Burning
Wings! Sort of ... white feathery wings, with blue bits. I was going to draw a whole angel, actually, but I liked the wings the way they were, and plus, I was sick of making graffiti. SO. There you go.

Dragon's Page
The names of a whole bunch of people I know blurred to make it look like you're riding past them on a train. I'm on there, my best friend Alex, and other online folkses. Most of them were hidden when I made the black area, however. Sorry.

This Page
That's supposed to be blood; I did a bad job of it. The graffiti is 'dead' from 'I killed him dead' on the Spiders page. I love how I try to draw parallels. It doesn't work. Oh wells.
